Enjuba has two outputs, a retail company and an education program, which work to empower Ugandan artisans and
Ugandan youth. (please take a quick look at the model below before reading on.) Through the SIP and
AGE programs and artisan classes, our artisans will have a mindset that will put them in a position to invest in themselves
and their families. Furthermore, their new mindset will radiate through their family and their communities, and the people
that they affect will continue to change others.
Similarly, the graduates of our education program will have the tools and the mindset to take their own approaches to
social innovation. The goal is for this younger generation to be passionate about engendering social change in any industry
and environment that they become a part of, and some of them may even decide to start their own social companies
and use business as a tool for social change. Enjuba´s students will go out into their communities, into their workplaces,
and into our world with an energy that motivates and inspires others to take a new approach to business, or any
organization. The mindset that change is possible will affect those that are part of the immediate Enjuba network, but
more importantly, it will affect others who will in turn affect others.

All aspects of Enjuba ultimately aim for positive, sustainable development. The critical component to the sustainability of
our model is Enjuba´s customers. Our customers will hopefully be engaged by the design, quality, and authenticity of our
products, by the shift in thinking that Enjuba represents, and by the positive impact that is being created by Enjuba´s
artisans, by Enjuba´s students, and by those that they in turn influence and inspire.
Our model takes a second look at both business and education to consider both of these institutions as platforms for
social change. First, we asked what is the real objective of business? The real objective of any business is to make people
better off. And, if you leverage business in the right way, it can be a tool for empowerment. We have created a company
that presents one coherent message: Change is possible. See the world differently. Our artisans and those who
graduate from our social entrepreneurship program represent this shift in thinking. They are a part of our brand and the
foundation for our impact. By consciously investing in individuals we are facilitating a movement focused on people, and
sustained by those who share in its vision for the future.
